“Cloud Gazer” began as the best kind of dream. Beautiful hues drifted behind my sleepy eyes. I wasn’t sure what might become of those colors, but I knew that I wanted to replicate them in my art. I boldly reached for one of the larger canvases that I had on hand and began mixing the perfect hues.

This is one of those paintings that painted itself. My paintbrush became a telephone connecting me to unconscious - picking up visuals and translating them through the movement of my hand into visual images. I became totally immersed in the process of listening.

The finished product reminds me that that even when the lightening strikes and the skies pour, there is something blooming beyond what our eyes can see.
